Look, Feel & Perform & Be BETTER!

Introduction: A Better Fitness Method for a Better You

Welcome to my blog and website—Better Fitness Method.

The purpose of my blog is to provide to you with cutting-edge information about exercise, diet, supplements and hormones in a way that empowers you to get the most out of your effort to look, feel, perform and be better … at any age.

This isn’t yet another exercise and fitness blog that regurgitates the same information every other blog and fitness sites share, which is mostly false and unvalidated data. I’m not only a medical doctor but also an accomplished bodybuilding competitor. And when I say “AT ANY AGE,” I mean anyage. I’m in my 70s:  Muscle&Fitness.com. So, I think it’s important that you know that I live what I preach.

What makes it worthwhile to come back regularly to visit is how I will be translating the latest tested scientific information in a simple, easy-to-understand way so you can use it to be in control of your health and fitness.

This is the information that will keep you healthy and prevent the common chronic metabolic diseases that afflict most Americans. This is “preventive medicine” and perhaps the most important information that you will ever need.

Has your physician told you to lose weight but did not give you a specific diet plan tailored to your needs? Did your physician give you an exercise program, or did s/he just prescribe pills?

Modern primary care physicians are trained to treat metabolic problems such as hypertension, adult-onset insulin resistant (type 2) diabetes, erectile dysfunction, coronary artery disease, stroke and dementia. But most physicians do not provide detailed information on how to prevent these diseases—and this is truly the most important medical knowledge that everyone needs to have!

Most patients today accept the minimal advice that their family doctors and nurse practitioners give them, and most patients take some of the pills prescribed to them. These medications—such as metformin, metoprolol and atorvastatin—are good medications, but they do not cure diseases. These pills palliate (lessen the severity of) diseases by hiding the signs of disease, giving patients a false sense of security and telling them that they can continue to live their unhealthy lifestyle. It’s “OK” because “I take my blood pressure medication, my cholesterol medication and my pills for my elevated glucose.”

What I will do with this blog is give you the specific information about diet, exercise, supplements, and hormones that will be your pathway to achieve your goals.

And, by all means, let me know what you would like to know more about by leaving comments. And if you have no questions, I’m probably doing my job by writing well enough. And if I’m not doing a good job, let me know that too. Better yet, give me some inspiration to keep going with a virtual pat on the back. Mostly, let me know you’re out there … listening … learning … being motivated … to look, feel, perform and be better than you are today!

To your health and fitness!
